A live interactive show, an imaginational stirring experience, and a reading challenge like no other! Mayhem, fun, noise, and reading silence! Yes that’s right, George the Bookworm show has it all!

“Well what a spectaculiferous year that was! Thank you soooo much for coming to our show. All you wonderful audiences helping me and my cosmic librarians save so many books. You did your country proud!!

And all you amazing librarians in Essex libraries looking after us and all the biscuit crumbs we brought with us. I’m welling up ere!

And last but not least, all you completely gorgeous folk who funded our show and made it happen. We got so many children (and adults) reading. It was a joy to see, it really really was!

So thanks again from the bottom of our big squishy hearts for making George the Bookworm Show happen!

Where George went, mayhem followed..

George the Bookworm Show toured across 17 libraries, 5 schools, 2 performances for Home Start, Latitude Music Festival, Barnes Book Festival and Elderflower Fields Festival during the summer of 2022.

Lemmings Theatre introduced children across Essex to the wonders of books, with a free interactive family show full of mystery, suspense, and comedy, where all audience members were invited to be part of the show.

There was much laughter, adventure and silliness. And a whole lot of reading!
